DESCRIPTION:The 19th edition of the annual Dallas International Film Festiv
 al (DIFF) will take place  April 25–May 1\, 2025\, at Cinépolis Luxury Cin
 emas Victory Park. This year marks DIFF’s first as an Academy Award® Quali
 fying Festival\, following its designation by the Academy of Motion Pictur
 e Arts and Sciences in October. \n  \n The 2025 festival will include more
  than 120 screenings\, filmmaker Q&As\, panels\, nightly red carpets\, and
  special events. Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas Victory Park—located at 2365 Vic
 tory Park Lane near the American Airlines Center—will serve as the main ve
 nue. Additional screenings and events will take place at the AT&T Discover
 y District\, Harwood District\, the historic Texas Theatre\, Virgin Hotels
  Dallas (returning as Premier Sponsor for the third year)\, and other Dall
 as locations to be announced. \n  \n Highlights include the world premiere
  of HAPPY AS LARRY\, which began as a semifinalist in DIFF’s inaugural Scr
 eenwriting Competition\, as well as THE CONFESSION\, DIY: THE RISE AND FAL
 L AND RISE OF PUNK\, NIGHT IN WEST TEXAS\, A PORTRAIT OF A POSTMAN\, and W
 ILLIE NELSON PRESENTS: KING OF THE ROADIES. The festival will also feature
  a special music and film panel with Abraham Alexander\, nominated for an
  Academy Award® for Best Original Song for SING SING\, which screened at D

 IFF (also referred to as Dallas Film) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizatio
 n established in  2006 as Dallas Film Society\, Inc. DIFF provides accessi
 ble\, inclusive\, immersive\, educational\, and entertaining film experien
 ces for all through year-round programs\, including an educational screeni
 ng and talk series for area high school students with industry professiona
 ls\; free advance screenings of new films for subscribers\, volunteers\, s
