A few weeks ago, we asked the members of Duncanville BubbleLife to vote for their favorite parks in the area. Although we got a number of suggestions, Duncanville's Lakeside Park claimed first place with 60 percent of the votes. 

The 51-acre park has many great amenities, including two playgrounds, two softball fields, a sand volleyball court, a football field, and a basketball court. There are also plenty of picnic tables and grills, as well as two pavilions that can be rented, so hanging out and eating with the family is always easy. If you enjoy walking through nature, there is also a trail you can meander down. 

Starting April 21 this year, you'll be able to go fishing for catfish if you have a fishing license and a freshwater fishing stamp. Be sure to send in pictures of your impressive catches to Duncanville Parks and Recreation. It's pretty easy to see why the park garnered so many votes from locals. So, why do you love Lakeside?
