If you're looking for love this Valentine's Day, the SPCA of Texas can help you find your "paw"fect match. On February 9th from noon to 4 p.m., join the SPCA of Texas and 102.9 NOW at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas for PALentine's Day! Carter will be broadcasting live and giving away prizes from Noon to 6 p.m. People will have a chance to meet dozens of adoptable pets, including foster dogs that aren't normally in the shelter. They will be the perfect date and you simply won't be able to keep your paws off them!

PALentine's Day is a great opportunity to meet foster dogs who already have experience living in a home! Many of these dogs get stressed in a shelter setting so they live with foster parents until they are adopted, so at this event, the SPCA of Texas is creating a special, calming environment for these dogs and potential adopters to get to know one another. People will have a chance to talk to the dogs' foster parents one-on-one and learn more about an animal's personality inside a home. Oftentimes, foster parents know more about the dog than the shelter ever could, and they are ready to play matchmaker just ahead of Valentine's Day!

Regular adoption fees are $125 for puppies and kittens aged 0-6 months and $60 for adult dogs and cats aged 6 months or older. Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs six months and older and a FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventative and heartworm preventative, a microchip, 30 days of PetHealth Insurance provided by PetPlan, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a free year-long subscription to Activ4Pets, a rabies tag and a free leash.
