Duncanville ISD invites the community and members of the media to attend a welcome home celebration on Sunday, March 2 at 2:00 pm at the DHS Sandra Meadows Arena parking lot (900 W. Camp Wisdom) for the Pantherettes' trip to the 5-A State Basketball tournament in Austin this weekend. The celebration will include a DJ, food trucks with free food, and addresses from Coach Self-Morgan and the Pantherettes. If rain becomes a factor, the festivities will be moved inside to the DHS East Cafeteria.

The state semi-final game is Friday, February 28 at 3:00 pm against San Antonio Wagner at the University of Texas Frank Erwin Center. The state championship game will be Saturday, March 1 at 8:30 pm against the winner of Friday’s Manvel/Plano West semi-final game. The Pantherettes have won 104 consecutive games, and clinched the girls basketball 5-A state championship title in 2012 and 2013.
